Joy has been connected to the group since it’s early days in the village hall. She was involved in the “Nursery Action Group” which fundraised to bring and setup the existing purpose built building in the school grounds in 1999.

Her qualifications include:

- Level 3 in Early Years Foundation Stage

- Level 4 in Childcare and Development

- Level 5 in Leadership and Management

- Paediatric First Aid Certificate

She is the group SENCO and designated child protection coordinator.

Joy is also a “leading practitioner” employed by North Yorkshire County Council which allows her to share her expertise with other groups in the area.

Her strengths and commitment to the continuing parent partnership and transition which was judged outstanding in the Ofsted report 2009, reflects the excellent working relationships with parents and the primary school. The transition procedures developed over the years have resulted with some very happy children having a smooth and successful move into the reception class each September.

Kay has been a valued member of staff for 15 years. She supports and works alongside Joy to bring continuity to children, by as siting with the EYFS framework legislation and Ofsted requirements. This helps to create a safe, stimulating and enjoyable environment.

The children enjoy her fun and enthusiasm especially when she leads the Wednesday and Thursday P.E. and music sessions in the Primary school hall.

Her qualifications include:
- Level 3 diploma in Pre-school Practice
- Emergency Paediatric First Aid Certificate

She is the groups “Racial Discrimination Officer” and is committed to bringing equality and inclusion into the setting on which she has attended relevant training.

She hopes to continue her professional development in the future.

Lorraine has worked in the group for 16 years.

Her qualifications include:

- Level 3 Diploma in Pre-school Practice
- First Aid Certificate

Her strengths within the group are her skills at settling in the nervous and new children, for which many parents have been very grateful.

Anne is the newest member to join the staff in September 2010, and has just completed Level 3 Diploma for Children and Young Peoples Workforce.

Anne enjoys working with the children outdoors and we hope she can develop this interest in the future.
